The spiritual world counselor in Boulder, Colorado, is an increasingly popular option for spiritual seekers seeking spiritual guidance and counseling in Denver.
In Colorado, spiritual counselors are generally not required to be licensed and typically operate within a “spiritual community.”
In the U.S., however, they are often licensed, but only in some counties.
According to the National Spiritual Counseling Association, spiritual counseling is one of the best ways to get spiritual help.
But it is not without controversy.
Many spiritual counselors in Colorado have been convicted of practicing human sacrifice, human trafficking, child sexual abuse, child pornography, and other criminal offenses.
They also often perform exorcisms and perform spiritual counseling without a license.
These accusations, along with accusations that some spiritual counselors have abused children, have fueled concerns that some religious groups have used their positions to prey on young people and other vulnerable groups.
A new study published in the American Journal of Psychiatry found that nearly half of the people who sought spiritual counseling at the Denver-based Denver Spiritual Counselors Center in 2013 and 2014 reported being sexually abused at some point in their lives.
In 2016, the American Psychological Association (APA) released a report detailing the impact of these allegations on thousands of young people.
“The impact of this work is profound, as well as pervasive, because it impacts not only the young people who are impacted, but also the broader communities that support them,” said the APA report.
According a 2015 study by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, there were more than 300,000 children under the age of 18 in the U, in addition to hundreds of thousands of adults.
“Many of these children are not yet fully aware of their vulnerability,” said study coauthor, Jennifer McBride.
“And many of them are victims of abuse or neglect,” she added.
“They’re not aware of the impact it has on their future.
And that’s a problem for them.”
McBride and other researchers say that many young people have been subjected to sexual abuse by their parents or by others who are religious.
“One of the problems we see with spiritual counselors is that they have not seen a child in their care who has been sexually abused,” said McBride, an associate professor at New York University.
“But there are very clear indicators of the abuse that are present.
It’s very easy to be vulnerable.”
According to a 2015 report by the APPA, there are more than 250,000 young people in the United States who are at risk for being sexually assaulted, abused, or neglected.
In addition to sexual exploitation and abuse, youth are often sexually abused by peers, family members, adults, teachers, and others.
“This is not an isolated problem,” said Emily Pappas, a senior research associate at the National Institute on Drug Abuse.
“It is happening in every part of the country, and it’s happening to children all over the country.”
A number of states have passed laws that make it harder for spiritual counselors to practice, and the National Conference of State Legislatures (NCSL) is currently working to create legislation that would make it illegal for people to offer spiritual counseling in the state.
But, the NCSL and other advocates say that the problem of spiritual abuse is not unique to Colorado.
In some states, like North Carolina, which recently passed a law that makes it illegal to provide spiritual counseling, a number of religious groups are using the threat of prosecution and fines to pressure the licensing boards to allow them to practice.
A recent case, for example, involved a Colorado pastor who was arrested in March for sexually assaulting a 12-year-old girl.
According the Denver Post, the pastor was charged with two counts of sexual assault and one count of molestation.
According “The Bible: A Guide to Healing,” which is licensed by the NCSC, “spiritually abused children can be the most difficult to change.”
“A spiritual child is a child who is not a Christian or who has experienced spiritual abuse.
And these are not just kids who have been abused by someone else,” said Papps.
“These are people who have experienced a traumatic event that is very different from anything that they experienced when they were a child.
These children are struggling to heal.”
“These children are experiencing the trauma of a lifetime,” she said.
“So when they are exposed to that trauma in the context of an adult relationship, they often do not know what to do.
And they can be very vulnerable.”
The National Spiritual Council of Colorado, which oversees the Colorado Spiritual Counselor Registry, declined to comment on specific cases.
But in a statement to ABC News, a spokesperson said that they believe that the registry is designed to protect all Colorado children, regardless of their religious affiliation.
“We want all Colorado kids to be treated with dignity, respect and care.
And we want to help every Colorado child access the services that will protect them and help them heal,” said NCSC Director Michael W.
