What you’ll need to know about certification requirements The spiritual counseling certification requires you to have a Bachelor’s degree and have experience in the field of spiritual counseling.
It also includes practical experience in working with spiritual clients.
Qualifications The certification also requires you complete a practicum with a certified spiritual counselor.
Qualified practitioners in SA are required to have been practicing spiritual counseling for at least three years.
Some spiritual counselors can also earn the certification in other countries.
You may also be required to complete a spiritual counseling course if you have a religious practice.
Certification certifications are not limited to SA.
You can get a spiritual counselors certificate in other states, including in Washington, New Jersey, Texas, Florida, Arizona and Canada.
How to apply The certification process is usually completed online and takes around 10 to 15 minutes.
It can take between two and six months to complete.
You’ll also need to send a resume and a letter of recommendation to the office where you intend to work.
Once the person you are applying to work with is approved, you’ll then receive a letter from your local board of spiritual counselors.
The certification is valid for one year after it is issued.
