How do I get a spiritual counsellor?
Most spiritual counselling is offered through spiritual centres, or spiritual colleges.
Spiritual colleges are also called “counseling” centres, as they are staffed by trained and experienced counsellors.
If there’s no school or centre for you to join, you can still choose a spiritual college and be offered spiritual counseling services.

How does spiritual counselling work?
Spiritual counselling is a practice of helping people to understand their feelings and thoughts.
It’s a technique for bringing people together and understanding the problems they have.
A good spiritual counselor will focus on the person’s emotional state and will offer them the tools they need to deal with their issues.
Spiritual counsellers can be trained as psychologists, psychologists, social workers, teachers, counsellants, social skills, psychologists and psychotherapists.
What are the differences between spiritual counselling and other therapies?
Spiritual counsellors often do not treat the person who is suffering.
They may try to help them, but they may not be able to help the person fully.
For example, a therapist might offer a spiritual counselling session and ask them to describe what they’re going through in a non-judgmental way, which could lead to them feeling frustrated and depressed.
Another common misconception is that spiritual counselling is for adults.
The only difference between spiritual counseling and other therapy is that the person in the spiritual counselling sessions will be a mature individual who understands the underlying problems and needs in their life.
They might be in a very good place emotionally, but the counsellant may not.
Some spiritual counsellers believe that if people feel like they are not receiving the support they need, they might not have the capacity to deal effectively with their problems.
For some people, this can be particularly difficult.
The therapist might not be understanding, for example, that the child who has depression is in pain and might not understand why he’s struggling.
A lot of spiritual counsels also try to find a sense of belonging in people’s lives, which may mean the therapist tries to help people understand that they are loved and cared for by God, and that they have a responsibility to try to love and care for others.
