I know it’s been years since I had a good experience with a spiritual counsellor.
I’ve been to a few, but not many.
But I’ve tried to find the right one, and the first one I saw was a guy with an unassuming, friendly face.
We got chatting and we became friends.
After that I found out the name and the guy’s name was Mike.
I didn’t realise it at the time, but it was a real breakthrough for me.
Mike was a spiritual healer.
He’s a spiritual teacher who does an hour-long spiritual counselling session for anyone who wants it.
It’s free, and he does the sessions in a room upstairs, so you don’t have to get up early in the morning.
He also offers guided meditations and other spiritual activities.

I was looking for someone who could help me understand the power of the breath and I found Mike in one of his sessions.
Mike is an ordained minister, so he’s a Christian minister who has a background in the New Testament.
He does all his spiritual work on a spiritual basis.
I was really impressed by what he taught me.
For example, he taught that you don�t need to be in a hurry to do something that you want to do.
If something needs to be done in a short amount of time, you can just be there and do it.
If it takes you longer to get there, then you have to do more than you want.
This is one of the reasons why Mike is so helpful.
Mike teaches that when you want something, you need to concentrate on what you want and not think about anything else.
When you have doubts, you just have to let go of them and focus on what’s important.
That’s what Mike does, too.
He teaches you how to breathe naturally.
I found him to be very approachable.
He doesn’t just sit in front of you and teach you how you should breath.
Mike has a calming way of talking about things.
For instance, one day he told me that if I had doubts about something in the beginning, I should just ask myself, Why did I have those doubts?
Then I would start practicing the practice of asking myself, “Why do I think this is happening to me?”
And if I answer that, he tells me that he will be happy to help.
He’ll then guide you through the process of trying to do it in a calm, non-threatening way.
Another thing that Mike did for me was to tell me about a prayer that he had heard.
I thought that it was interesting because it was from a guy who had been baptised.
He told me he was very angry that his daughter had been separated from him and had been in a relationship with a man who was divorced.
Mike said, “That’s a terrible mistake to make.
You’re going to be a bad parent if you think that.
So please, pray that you are forgiven and that God will bring you back together with your daughter.”
So I prayed for forgiveness and I started praying for my daughter.
I asked God to forgive me and I prayed that I could be with her again.
But what I did was ask God to tell the man that I had asked him to forgive.
God told me to forgive him.
That made me realize that I needed to pray that God would forgive me too.
That is what I do for prayer, too, when I’m thinking about it.
Sometimes I feel a lot more calm and peaceful when I think about the way God would love to bring me back to my family.
That�s one of my favourite things about Mike.
He gives you that calming, nonjudgemental way of thinking.
I think that’s the best way to get through a difficult time, too—to find peace and acceptance.
The reason why Mike and I became good friends was that Mike is very helpful when it comes to helping people find spiritual healing.
He gave me the name of a guy in the inner city who was going through some difficult times and needed someone to talk to.
So we met.
We started talking about everything, about how he was living, what he was going to do with his life, what kind of things he was doing.
When he finally had a spiritual practice, he was so happy and so grateful.
When I was in the process, I was surprised that it didn�t take longer than two or three sessions to do everything he asked me to do—he even had a special way of getting everything done.
What Mike taught me in the first session was how to practice breath and meditation.
I started doing breathing exercises and meditation exercises.
I began doing things like breathing in slowly and saying the word God every day.
